Are you a new General Member of the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia? Have you recently joined our Writers’ Council? Have you returned to the warm embrace of Ma Fed after a few years away? Do you simply feel a bit out of the loop?
After nearly 50 years of serving Nova Scotian writers, WFNS now offers a dizzying array of programs, awards, contests, events, and resources. Even our true blue programming, decades in operation, is constantly being refined, updated, and expanded to continuing serving writers as the literary landscape changes.
Let those who know these opportunities best—the staff members of WFNS—give you a crash course in all we have to offer. We’ll survey the ‘craft’ and ‘professional’ development opportunities available to up-and-coming writers, summarize our many compensated oppportunities for established and professional authors, and outline how writers and authors of all experience levels can get involved in WFNS’s Board of Directors and its committees.
