Jane Baskwill is an author, educator, and poet living in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. She writes middle grade novels in verse and picture books that celebrate the power of story, imagination, and place. Jane has authored many professional books and articles for teachers in addition to an award-winning video series. She has also authored a book of poetry for children and three picture books: Somewhere, Touch the Earth, and If Peace Is… (Mondo Publishing, New York).
Her latest novel, Spyglass Secrets, (InSync Books), the second Lori Daniels mystery, is a verse novel set in a community on the Bay of Fundy shore. The novel weaves together local folklore with mystery, treasure, and ghost sightings.
She is a former teacher, principal and teacher educator at Mount Saint Vincent University.
