PD session | Feb 9, 7 pm >>

What can you expect from an agent? How can you evaluate a publishing agreement? Join award-winning writer Vicki Grant and senior agent Fiona Kenshole (Transatlantic) as they discuss their author-agent relationship. Then stick around as lawyer Katie Paterno (McInnes Cooper) examines the fine print in publishing contracts.

Vicki Grant has been called “a superb storyteller” (Canadian Children’s Book Centre) and “one of the funniest writers working today” (Vancouver Sun). Her books have won The Red Maple, The Arthur Ellis, and Young Canada Reads as well as been shortlisted for the Edgar, the CLA Book of the Year and many Forest of Reading awards. Her YA romcom, 36 Questions That Changed My Mind About You, sold to over 20 territories worldwide and was optioned for film. Her YA medical thriller, Tell Me When You Feel Something, will be published by Penguin Random House in the spring.
