Janice Landry tackles a challenging author requirement, discussing all things book promotion: writing a media release, interview and message preparation, book launches, signings, and more. Creating your book was a mountain of work, but it’s also a massive effort to get your book out there. As writers, we are here to support one another. Questions are strongly encouraged from participants, especially any you may have regarding upcoming promotion of your own work/books.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Janice Landry is an award-winning writer and journalist who honours her late parents with her work. As the proud daughter of Halifax firefighter, Capt. Baz Landry, M.B., Landry advocates nationally in Canada for better support services, mental health and wellness education, and proactive resiliency training for Canada’s first responders and frontline workers, across professions, as well as their families and loved ones. Janice is a proud graduate of the University of King’s College, Halifax, (BJ Hons.’87). She grew up in Purcell’s Cove, Nova Scotia, which has had a lasting, positive impact on her creative life. She is happiest outside, in the woods or near the ocean. The latter is where she heads when she needs to unwind and to feel closest to her beloved parents.
