Creatively Speaking Toastmasters invites members of the writing community and other creative friends to come to a meeting and see how Toastmasters works. Writers tend to be introverts; Toastmasters helps us connect with the outside world with confidence and eloquence! Increasingly, authors are not only expected to put good words on the page, but also to have good speaking and presentation skills. What do you write? Have you got an interesting and concise answer for that question? You might be invited to share your work by participating at an open mic event. You might be interviewed on radio or television, or on stage. You might be asked to give a talk. You might even consider participating in Pitch the Publisher at Word on the Street. Are you ready? We meet twice a month, year round. Creatively Speaking Toastmasters was started by toastmasters/writers to provide local writers with a place to conquer stage jitters and hone speaking skills in the company of other writers. We’ve been welcoming writers and other creative people for years now, and we still have room for you. If you’ve ever thought about polishing your public speaking skills, please come to a meeting as our guest (no cost for guests!).

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday evening of the month, at the offices of WFNS: 1113 Marginal Rd., in downtown Halifax. Enter through the WFNS door, opposite NSCAD's Port Campus.
