We are seeking a creative, skilled and innovative leader to oversee the fundraising, strategic, programming and operational activities of the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia. This is a four day/week position with a salary range of $40,000-$43,000.

HALIFAX, NS – The Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia (WFNS) announced the winners of the 2017 East Coast Literary Awards on Wednesday, May 31st at the Halifax Central Library's Paul O'Regan Hall.

The 2017 East Coast Literary Awards Shortlists Released

HALIFAX -- The Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia (WFNS) announced the shortlists for the 2017 East Coast Literary Awards (ECLAs) today. Publishers submitted a record number of 79 titles by writers who reside in Atlantic Canada’s four provinces. And after months of reading and deliberation, peer juries of professional writers agreed on shortlists for each award in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry.

On November 30, 2016, as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia (WFNS) announced four new Legacy Memberships. This designation recognizes and celebrates members whose achievements to date—including their published work and other contributions to our writing community—have had an impact on our province’s cultural life and creative economy.
