"There's magic in this book - in the compelling logic that drives the fairy tale, in the sly humour, in the gorgeous linocuts that illustrate the story; and most of all, there's magic in the voice fo generations of Newfoundlanders that comes through the language used to tell it. Peg Bearskin is a little treasure." -- Michael Crummey
